Day Twenty Four. On to Cusco

We woke up at a reasonable hour today - 6:45 and headed for brekkie. Scrambled eggs, ham, granola fruit and yoghurt awaited. The fresh mangoes were also delicious.
The hot chocolate here is also really good, not really sweet but therapeutic. More cocoa in flavor.

We were leaving this morning, so we got back on the boat and were on the bus to the airport. Our plane finally landed in Cusco at 1 and we headed for our hotel.

It's a nice place with villas wrapping around and enclosing a private open courtyard.

We headed out for some lunch with the group to what was quite a fancy restaurant. We ate entree, mains and dessert for under 110Soles, that's about $40 for both of us.
Food was delicious again, tried done trout and pork. Was tempted to try the alpaca meat but the pork dish sounded too yummy!

We strolled down to the main square after lunch, but it started to rain so we headed back for a freshen up and a siesta! From the littleive seen of Cusco so far,i really like it. Has the latin/peruvian culture with a somehwat spanish european style. Moreso han Lima.

We woke up just in time for dinner. We strolled into the main square and found a cool place that was playing a mix of spanish and english music. Cool spanish guitar sound music. Dinner was really good. We felt like soup so i ordered a beef and spaghetti spicy soup, was delicious! Also had a nice local dish, capsicum stuffed with mince con carne style then fried in bread crumbs. mmm, but filling! After dinner we strolled around for a bit until heading home for some rest. We are dealing with the altitude ok, just a little tired i guess.
