Day Eighteen: Second City!

This morning we got some brekkie and headed to the post office to get some things back home!

We then hopped on the green line train and ventured out about 7 miles out of town to check out another Frank Lloyd Wright building - the Robie House. I must say, it wasn't as great as the Fallingwater experience for me, but was still exciting and interesting to see it in person after seeing plans and images of it thru uni.

We then wandered thru the nearby Chicago Uni, which had some cool buildings and then back thru the park to the train.

We headed back into town and navigated the loop. We sat in the front carriage and were able to look out the front window as you go through and around the city. It's kinda like the monorail but older and more vintage - thus slightly cooler - hehe!

That afternoon we headed to Willis Tower - the old Sears Building.
This was pretty cool, the highest I have ever been in a building too. They also had this crazy glass ledge you could step out onto - I must admit it's pretty scary just looking down and seeing nothing but roads and buildings below.

We then got some Pizza at this American pizzeria - wasn't too bad either. Not the best I've ever had I guess, nothing to write home about - maybe blog about - but not write.

After dinner we ventured over to Old Town to Second City comedy club. We tried to get tix to a professional show but it was sold out, however we did get to see the Comedy students show. They were really good. Five guys and girls doing an hour long live sketch series routine. Pretty funny. The honor roll of graduates from the Second City Comedy School is a who's who: Dan Ackroyd, Bill Murray, Martin Short, Belushi brothers, John Candy, steve Carrell, Tina Fey etc. Was quite a fun thing to do and a different part of town too. For $10 too- were some pretty cheap laughs!

Time for beddy bye byes my little traveltubbies!
