Day Sixteen: Onto Chicago; all things go, all things go!

We woke up early and got all our packing done and headedfor the airport after brekkie.

We were on our way to Chicago now.

Transfers - Airports - flights - airports - transfers all takes up some time.

By the time we checked into our hotel in Chicago it was dark. We were staying in the north part of town. We strolled downtown for a wander and somewhere to eat. The weather was freezing. Windchill is horrible. It was a nice walk nonetheless. I didn't realize Chicago was such a watery city, the river runs thru the middle very much, dividing the town. Very much like Melbourne.
We got our first look at the famous 'el' train - the elevated loop train. Pretty awesome! The cities architecture was also living up to reputation, already spotted mies' IBM building and those cool round flower petal like twin towers.

We finally got some food at an English style pub called the Elephant & Castle. Not bad- pretty wholesome straightforward sheppards pie and some beer!

Anyway- time for rest. Lots to see and do.
